Step 1
Log into your YouTube account.
Step 2
Go to your Video Manager on YouTube (Please use this direct link).
Step 3
Next to the video you want to edit captions for, click the Pencil (Details) icon.
Step 4
Click on the Subtitles link in the left side menu.
Step 5
Click the English (Automatic) row, then click the three dotted menu on the far right and choose “Edit on Classic Studio”
Step 6
Click Edit in the upper right corner and overwrite.
Step 7
Click Edit in the upper right corner. Save changes when finished.
