Messaging

About Messaging

Open LMS messaging allows students or instructors to send messages instantly while inside a course. Messages differ from Quickmail emails since messages appear as an alert at the top of the screen on the message icon. The message icon looks like a speech bubble and is located beside your user profile image.

When a message is sent to a user, they receive an alert. The alert appears on the messaging icon as a red box with the number of new messages inside.
