The Choice activity in Moodle offers the instructor an opportunity to ask students opinion on a question or topic in a quick, poll format.
Start by enabling the Edit Mode toggle button in the course and add the activity called Choice in the list.
Give the activity a name and description. The description will be the question or instructions regarding which choice the students should make.
Scroll down to the options section. The default options are the best settings for the Choice activity. If you want checkboxes (allow more than one selection) set “Allow more than one choice” to “Yes”. Checking this setting will allow students to choose more than one answer at a time. Add each choice the students should choose from in the options. Make the limit the number of students in the course unless you have a reason to allow fewer selections of the particular item.
Save and display the Choice activity. The activity is presented to student as a question with choice options and a button to save their choice.
In the main course page, the Choice activity is shown with a question mark icon.
Once student begin to submit their choices, a view responses link will display in the activity.
The student’s responses display in rows and columns as shown in the image below.
