Forum Default Settings

A short one since the day has almost slipped by…

When you use the Forum activity in Moodle, by default the Reply text box is a streamlined text area without any icons.  This means that neither you nor your students have the buttons to change formatting, add images, links – or even attach files to the reply.

This is easily fixed, but you might have to let students know that they need to click the small Advanced text link to the bottom right of the actual reply text box to have it add the bells and whistles options to that reply.
